When I was a little girl, I used to spin the globe in my classroom, close my eyes, and point to a spot. Wherever my finger landed, that’s where I would go, I decided. The list grew and grew – India, Turkey, Mexico, China, and ocean – lots and lots of ocean – because that’s what happens when you close your eyes and point at a spinning globe 200 times. Haha.
My thirst to see the world was unquenchable even then, and I dreamed hard of all the places I would go. Now I’m a big girl and I’ve made a successful life for myself as a writer and photographer. I launched some kids, quit the corporate world, and started checking off the places on that list I started so long ago. Sometimes fueled by wine and laughter, sometimes soaked in deep introspection, my posts are about the journey as much as the place and they are about as honest (and irreverent) as stories can be.
I’m happy to share these journeys with anyone who dreams of hitting the open road or wants to live vicariously a little through someone who does. Thank you for joining me :)
